Beauty in the morning sunrise;
another chance at a brand new day.
The fresh smell of a soft rain shower ;
Loving all that comes my way.
Enjoying another person;
For exactly who they are inside.
Knowing I can truly be myself;
The feeling there is nothing to hide.
The "knowing" I'm never alone;
the faith that grows each day.
Listening to someone else's heart;
Hearing what they are really trying to say.
Laughing at nothing;
Singing just because I want to.
Sitting quietly if it suits me;
Having nothing I need to prove.
So these are a few things I cherish;
The things I look for in a day.
How much more could a person ask for
With all the blessings God sends my way.
